Hester has more than 15 years experience in real estate and international litigation. She advises multinationals, real estate investors and other professional landlords. Next to this, Hester represents clients before the courts in rent related matters as well as in arbitral proceedings. She also acts as secretary to arbitral tribunals of the Netherlands Arbitration Institute.
Hester graduated in Dutch civil law at the University of Groningen in 2000. She completed the post graduate specialization course of the Association of Real estate lawyers in 2007. In 2013 Hester completed the Supervisory Board Program of Nyenrode Business University.
From 2000 until 2006 Hester worked as a lawyer at NautaDutilh in Rotterdam. She was seconded to the London office of the American firm Debevoise& Plimpton from November 2004 until May 2005. From 2006 until November 2010 Hester worked as a partner and one of the founders at BASE Advocaten in Rotterdam. Subsequently she worked as a partner at Legaltree until she decided to extend her career into the corporate business. As of November 2014 until September 2016 Hester was the Head of Legal of Royal Dutch Grolsch NV (part of SABMiller). In this role Hester was responsible for all legal matters of the company and she acted as trusted advisor of the Executive Board on all strategic legal matters. Missing the dynamics of the lawyers profession, Hester decided to return to the bar association with HBLegal. Passionate about her profession she strives for the optimal solution in every case.
Hester is a member of the Association of Real estate lawyers en Dutch Women in Real Estate. Daarnaast vervult zij diverse nevenfuncties in de not-for profit sector.
